Organic Black Fertilizer Granules for Fish and Shrimp Ponds Shading Humic Acid Powder
Product Introduction
Humic acid is a complex group of naturally occurring organic macromolecules. It is widely distributed in the natural environment, with soil being its most significant reservoir. In a broad definition, humic acid refers to organic substances formed through the long-term decomposition and transformation of animal and plant residues—primarily plant materials—by microorganisms, combined with various geochemical processes. This describes the fundamental nature of humic acid.
In soil organic matter, humic acid is generally the main component. In corrosive substances, humic acid is the main body and its salts combined with metal ions. Humic acid is the most active and effective part of organic matter.![]()
1)Improves soil physical properties, refines soil structure, reduces compaction, and creates optimal growing conditions.
2) Boosts cation exchange capacity (CEC) and nutrient retention, enhancing fertilizer efficiency and increasing soil's ability to retain nutrients and water.
3) PStimulates beneficial soil microorganism activity, supporting a healthier soil ecosystem.
4) Aids in breaking down harmful substances, including pesticides and other toxins, improving soil health.
5)Enhances soil buffering capacity and helps neutralize soil pH, promoting balanced conditions for plant growth.
6) The dark color absorbs heat, enabling earlier planting in spring by warming the soil faster.
7) Directly impacts plant metabolism, improving crop respiration, photosynthesis, and overall stress resistance (e.g., drought, cold, disease).
8) Releases essential nutrients as it decomposes, providing plants with needed nourishment.
9) Strengthens root systems, boosts yield, improves crop quality, and enhances the sweetness of fruits and melons.
The role of potassium humate in fish and shrimp ponds
1. After potassium humate is applied, the water gradually turns a dark brown color similar to soy sauce, which reduces sunlight penetration to the bottom layer. This limits moss growth through physical shading and is widely adopted in rice–crayfish integrated farming systems.
2. Humic acid is a high–molecular-weight organic weak acid formed through the decomposition of plant residues. Carbon makes up approximately 50–60% of its elemental composition. As a result, potassium humate can serve as an effective source of carbon and potassium in aquatic systems, supplying essential nutrients for aquatic plants.
3. Potassium humate is a natural macromolecular organic substance with an aromatic network structure made up of loosely connected aromatic rings. Its structure contains numerous pores and cavities of varying sizes, giving it strong reactivity and excellent adsorption capacity for water purification. The porous structure supports the growth of beneficial microorganisms, while humic acid can also release nascent oxygen, helping suppress the growth of certain harmful bacteria.
4, In crayfish–rice farming fields, potassium humate acts as an efficient nutrient for rice cultivation. Application of flake potassium humate at a rate of about 2.5 kg per mu significantly promotes rice growth, particularly root development. Even at low application rates, it demonstrates strong growth-stimulating effects.
5. Potassium humate carries a high negative surface charge, allowing it to interact readily with heavy metal ions in water. Its organic macromolecular structure contains abundant carboxyl groups, phenolic hydroxyl groups, and nitrogen- and sulfur-binding sites, enabling ion exchange and chelation. Through adsorption and complexation, potassium humate removes heavy metals from water, increasing crayfish survival rates from approximately 40% to as high as 90%.
6. The porous and network-like structure of potassium humate helps loosen soil, improving aeration and overall soil condition. It can also adsorb ammonia (NH₃) and hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) in bottom sediments, reducing unpleasant odors and minimizing environmental pollution.
